Stihl Air Filters

Most Stihl chainsaws are equipped with cartridge style air filters; however a few small chainsaw models have felt pad air filters. Stihl cut off saws, blowers and some professional use chainsaws are equipped with a multiple air filter and pre filter combination due to higher filtration requirements resulting from the dusty operating conditions. For the opposite reason, Stihl trimmers are often equipped with a simple foam pad air filter.

Replacing the air filter on a regular schedule can both extend the life of your equipment and improve its performance.
